Recent research from the American Perspectives Survey reveals that men face greater struggles with loneliness than other adults. The study found that only 27% of men have at least six close friends, which is half the amount reported three decades ago.

According to a study by the Survey Center on American Life, 28% of men under 30 report having no close social connections, and this percentage increases as men get older.

Many men keep their feelings of loneliness to themselves rather than expressing them. According to the American Perspectives Survey, only 30% of men reported having a private conversation with a friend in the past week where they shared their personal feelings.

A 2017 survey by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy revealed that about 50% of men confessed that their lustful thoughts or behaviors, such as consuming pornography, affected their relationships, leading to emotional or physical distance from their partners.

According to a Barna Group study, “The Porn Phenomenon”, 93% of pastors and 94% of youth pastors believe pornography is a significantly larger issue now compared to the past. However, only 7% of them have specific programs in place to support individuals dealing with porn-related struggles.

A recent study by The Barna Group revealed that 77% of men regularly consume pornography, with many associating this habit with feelings of lust or sexual temptation. This indicates that a large portion of men face challenges with lust.
